Weekly Memo April 14, 2020

Parents and Students of the Silver Lake Elementary,

I hope you all enjoyed a stay home Spring Break or perhaps you had the opportunity to do some out of the house activities, maintaining social distancing of course.

As we are moving towards and looking forward to our new school opening in August, I wanted to reach out to you to see if any parents would be interested in teaching some after school classes?  These are weekly extension classes like a School Play (5th & 6th Graders), a Spanish class or some other language (3rd – 6th Grades), an ASL (3rd– 6th Grades), a Ballroom Dance Team (4th – 6th Grades) and of course a Choir (Kinder – 6th Grade).  If you have a skill and you’re interested in helping with any of these programs, please email me.  Also, I want to see if any parent would be interested in writing our school song.  Anyone who is interested in these programs or writing the song is welcome to email me directly.

Lastly, I’d like to put in a plug for participation on our PTA Board.   Being on the PTA Board is a great opportunity to help our awesome new school by building school culture and to create a learning environment that is engaging, nurturing and fun.  Please consider participating.  If you’re interested, you can contact our PTA President Britnie Robb at [email protected]

Thank you and have a great week.

GO COYOTES!

Joel V. Miller – Principal
