Weekly Memo December 6, 2020

Parents & Students of Silver Lake Elementary,

We only have two more weeks before Christmas Break.  This is an exciting time of year.

PTA Meeting:  Due to the problems with the internet in the community last week, the PTA was not able to hold their meeting.  The meeting has been rescheduled to this Wed at 10:00 AM.

Coyote Store:  The Coyote Store will be open on Friday the 11^th at the end of each track.

Christmas Sing:  Due to the pandemic, we will be doing a virtual Christmas Sing this year.  We are recording each class singing their holiday song this week in their music class.  We will film their dance movements next week and will edit them together.  We are doing this because we are not able to maintain good safety measures with singing and dancing. The video will have other fun things added to it as well.  The Christmas Sing video will be sent to the teachers to show in the classrooms on the 17^th.  We will also post the video on our Facebook page for parents to enjoy.  If you have joined us on Facebook, here is the linkhttps://www.facebook.com/Silver-Lake-Elementary-100870361579179  Additionally, we will send the video out in an email to parents.

Christmas Break:  Christmas Break is the 21^st – January 1^st.  School will start again on the 4^th.  We will have a Minimal Day on the 18^th.

Minimal Day:  The schedule for the Minimal Day on the 18^th is A Track will end at 11:30 AM & B Track will end at 12:45 PM.  There will not be Kindergarten or Preschool on this day.  Lunch will be provided prior to the end of the day.  We ask that students do not bring backpacks to school on Minimal Days.

Birthday on Marquee:  Parents can pay to have their student’s name pop up on our outside digital marquee (on the southwest corner of the school) on their birthday.  The cost is $5.00 to be paid online.  The instructions are below.
