Parents of Silver Lake Elementary Students,
I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break. Just a reminder that although the statewide mask mandate has ended, we are still required to wear masks in schools. This is for staff, students, and visors. Please keep in mind that this is not a site-based decision at the schools or even at the District level there for please help us to follow the directives that we are required to maintain in school by the State. Again, this is not a school-based decision and we would appreciate no disruption to our daily operations for the next seven weeks of the school year. We can finish this year strong regardless of the mask requirements.
Another request that I have is if you park in the church parking lot next to the school while picking your kiddos up at the end of the day, please take extra caution. Watch your speed, know your surroundings, watch for kiddos who might be darting in the parking lot, and do not coax your kiddos to run between cars. We have some close calls and we certainly do not want anyone getting hurt.
Fundraiser Drive: We are starting our school fundraiser tomorrow the 12th. It will run through the 23rd. Our goal is $10,000.00 to purchase more books for our amazing library. This is a direct donation drive and we have benchmark goals and prizes along the way. Here are the instructions on the drive that we previously sent out. Student Birthday on Marquee: Parents can pay to have their student’s name pop-up on our outside digital marquee on their birthday. Please give us a couple of days to get it up, especially if it is over the weekend. We try hard to check every day and we do not want to miss anyone’s birthday if payment is made within a day or two of the actual birthday. The cost is $5.00 to be paid online. The instructions are below.
