Weekly Memo October 3 – 7

Parents of Silver Lake Elementary Students,

I hope all that came to our Munch & Mingle had a great time.  The weather certainly cooperated.  We will have another Munch & Mingle in the Spring.

PTA Meeting:  Our next PTA meeting will be on Tuesday the 4^th at 1:00 PM.

SCC Meeting: Our next SCC (School Community Council) meeting will be on Wednesday the 5^th at 2:15 PM.

Westlake Elementary Band: Registration for 5^th & 6^th graders is open to join the Westlake Elementary Band.  See this flyer for more information.  FINAL WEB POSTER 2022.png

1^st Quarter ends on Wednesday the 12^th.

Fall Break:  Don’t forget that Fall Break is next week on the 13^th & 14^th.

Teacher’s PD Day:  On Monday the 17^th, it is Teacher Professional Development Day and there is no school for students.

Red Ribbon Week: We will be doing Red Ribbon Week during the week of the 24^th.  Our SEW Committee (Social, Emotional & Wellbeing) along with our Student Council will be in charge of it this year.  It will be a lot of fun and poignant as we promote healthy living and being drug-free.

Halloween Parade:  Our Halloween Parade is scheduled for Monday the 31^st.  More information about the parade will be sent out to you soon but we just wanted you to have plenty of advanced notice to get it on your calendars.

RISE Award Nominations:  You can nominate any teacher or school employee who is Remarkable, Inspiring, Selfless, and/or Encouraging for the District’s RISE Award. Make your nominations through this link,  https://alpineschools.org/riseawards/

Spirit Shirts:  If you want to buy a replacement school spirit shirt for your kiddos, you can go to the myschoolfees.com link below to purchase more shirts or pay in the office. They are $10.00 each.

The Birthday on Marquee:  Parents can pay to have their student’s name pop up on our outside digital marquee on their birthday.  Please give us a couple of days to get it up, especially if it is over the weekend. We try hard to check every day and we do not want to miss anyone’s birthday if payment is made within a day or two of the actual birthday.  The cost is $7.00 to be paid online.  The instructions are below in the Online Payment & Program Registration link.
