Parents of Silver Lake Elementary Students,
I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. Just a quick reminder for you to remind your kiddos to come to school dressed properly for the weather. We are seeing too many kiddos come to school without coats, hats, gloves, and appropriate footwear. Remember, unless the ambient temperature, with wind-chill, falls below 20 degrees, or there is a lot of rain or thunder/lightning, the kiddos will be outside. We want them to be comfortable and dry.
School Community Council (SCC): Has their next meeting on Tuesday at 2:30 PM.
Chinese Club: The Chinese Club will end, for the first block this week.
Afterschool Programs (2nd Block) Sign-Ups: You can sign your kiddos up for the second block of all after school programs (ASL, Chinese Club, Chime Choir, Coding & Fitness Club) now through myschoolfees.com The cost for all second block classes (8 weeks long) is $20.00 and should be paid before the first class. You can also pay in person in the school’s office. These after school enrichment programs will all start the first week of February and will be for an hour after each Track Time.
Here is the list of the days that each class/club will be:
Tuesdays – ASL
Wednesdays – Chime Choir
Thursdays – Coding & Fitness Club
Fridays – Chinese
Coyote Store: The Coyote Store will be open at the end of each Track on Friday the 29th.
Preschool Open Enrollment: The District’s Preschool program is open for enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year. Here is a flyer with all the information you will need. 2021-22 Preschool flier.pfd.jpg Pass this along to any friends or neighbors who will have a preschooler next year.
PTA Meeting: The next PTA Meeting is on Wednesday the 3rd at 10:00 AM.
Parent-Teacher Conferences: Just to get the PTC on your schedule, it will be on February 3rd and 4th. Attached here are the instructions on how to schedule your appointment times. Yearbooks: We are excited to announce that we will have a yearbook for this year and it will go on sale on the 1st for $14.00. These will be very nice, full-color books to commemorate our first year as a school. You can purchase them by using the myschoolfees link below. The price will go up to $16.00 on March 1st.
Birthday on Marquee: Parents can pay to have their student’s name pop-up on our outside digital marquee on their birthday. Please give us a couple of days to get it up, especially if it is over the weekend. We try hard to check every day and we do not want to miss anyone’s birthday if payment is made within a day or two of the actual birthday. The cost is $5.00 to be paid online.
