Parents of Silver Lake Elementary Students,
Congratulations to our Knowledge Teams who did a great job in the District competition.
No School DaysThis Week: Don’t forget that Monday the 11th is a teacher professional development day and a collaboration day on the 12th and there is no school for students.
Immunization Clinic: There is a vaccine clinic being held at Frontier Middle School on Wednesday, the 13th. The age range for this clinic is from kindergarten to adulthood. This is a great opportunity for 6th graders to receive their 7th-grade immunizations. Also, for those students that aren’t in compliance with immunizations. It is held by the Utah County Health Department. Here is a flyer about the clinic. Immunization Clinic.png
District Reconfiguration Public Meeting: There are public meetings this week on the 12th, 13th & 14th to discuss Alpine School District reconfiguration and a possible split. Here is a flyer regarding the meetings for those interested. MGT community meetings.pdf
School Community Council (SCC) Meeting: Our next SCC meeting will be on Thursday the 21st at 2:15 PM in the office conference room.
Lockdown Drill: We will be having a lockdown drill on Friday the 22nd in the morning. The drill will only take a few minutes.
Yearbooks Sale Deadline: March 22nd is the last day to order yearbooks. SL Yearbook 2023-2024.jpg
Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week: We are excited to announce our Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week coming up at the end of this month, during the week of 25th-29th. The theme this year is “Silver Lake is a magical place to learn!” with Harry Potter-themed activities, decor, and food. The PTA will be providing lunches and treats for our wonderful hardworking Silver Lake crew, and they need your help. Please use this Signup genius for our “Treat Trolley” & soda bar, any donations you can make would be greatly appreciated. If you’ve already signed up to bring snacks or classroom supplies, please bring those donations to the front office. All donations should be brought to the school by Friday, March 22. THANK YOU FOR SHOWING LOVE FOR OUR AMAZING STAFF! https://www.signupgenius.com/
5th Grade Maturation: Our 5th grade Maturation program is coming up on Friday the 29th, 2:30 PM for the girls in the Library and 2:45 PM in the gym for the boys. Parents/guardians are encouraged to attend with their students. A permission form was sent home with all 5th-grade students on Friday and will be sent again in a subsequent email with additional information.
Multicultural Night: The counseling team at Westlake has paired with our outreach team to put together a multicultural night! The idea is that we would have community members participate and showcase what is important to them! I am sending out a flyer with a QR code to see the interest within each school throughout the Saratoga Springs community. The idea would be that families would sign up through the QR code if they want to participate and my team will then coordinate all the efforts! We would love as many people as possible to participate and feel a sense of belonging within the community! The multicultural night is scheduled to be on Friday, March 29th from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm. Spring Break: Spring break is coming up the first week in April, the 1st-5th.
Kindergarten Registration: Here is the flyer to get your next year’s kindergartener registered for school. Kindergarten Registration (6).pdf If you have any questions or concerns with registering, please call our amazing secretaries for help.
Thank you for all your support!
