Congratulations to our Ballroom Dance Team who won Silver Medals at their competition at BYU on Saturday. They did so well.

School Community Council (SCC) Meeting: Our next SCC meeting will be on Thursday the 21st at 2:15 PM in the office conference room.
Lockdown Drill: We will have a lockdown drill on Friday the 22nd in the morning. The drill will only take a few minutes.
Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week: Teacher & Staff Appreciation is coming up in one week! March 25-29 we will be celebrating our amazing Silver Lake staff.
The PTA needs volunteers to decorate a door for our staff members who don’t have a room parent. If you would be willing to decorate a door this upcoming week, please sign up and add your name to this Google sheet:

The theme this year is “Silver Lake is a magical place to learn!” with Harry Potter-themed activities, decor, and food. The PTA will be providing lunches and treats for our wonderful hardworking Silver Lake crew, and they need your help. Please use this Sign-up genius for our “Treat Trolley” & soda bar, any donations you can make would be greatly appreciated. If you’ve already signed up to bring snacks or classroom supplies, please bring those donations to the front office. All donations should be brought to the school by Friday, March 22. 5th Grade Maturation: Our 5th grade Maturation program is coming up on Friday the 29th, 2:30 PM for the girls in the Library and 2:45 PM in the gym for the boys. Parents/guardians are encouraged to attend with their students.

Spring Break: Spring break is coming up the first week in April, the 1st-5th.
Preschool: There have been many questions regarding if Silver Lake will have Preschool next year. Yes, we are! Early Enrollment for our currently registered 3-year-old students and siblings is now tentatively planned to begin on March 18th (previously March 1st). The registration documents will be emailed to teachers and parents of currently registered students on March 18th and must be returned by March 22, 2024, at 1:00 pm. Open Enrollment for new students is tentatively planned to begin on March 29th at 10:00 am (previously March 13th), this will be done online through the preschool website https://alpineschools.

We will be offering ½ day kindergarten but it will only be in the mornings.

Spirit Shirts: If you want to buy a replacement school spirit shirt for your kiddos, you can go to the myschoolfees.com link below to purchase more shirts or pay in the office. They are $10.00 each.
The Birthday on Marquee: Parents can pay to have their student’s name pop up on our outside digital marquee on their birthday. Please give us a couple of days to get it up, especially if it is over the weekend. We try hard to check every day and we do not want to miss anyone’s birthday if payment is made within a day or two of the actual birthdays. The cost is $7.00 to be paid online.
