Weekly Memo September 13, 2020

Parents and Students of Silver Lake Elementary,

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  You certainly can feel fall is right around the corner.

School Breakfast & Lunch:  As you know school breakfast and lunches are now free for all students starting tomorrow.  The times are as follows;

7:40 – 8:00 AM Breakfast for A Track students.  Preschool Students & Kindergarteners.

8:55 – 9:15 AM Breakfast for B Track students.  Preschool Students & Kindergarteners.

10:30 – 11:00 AM Lunch for Online Learners as well as Preschool & Kindergartens

Parents will need to be with their preschooler and/or kindergartener and will be a grab and go meal to minimize the number of outside people in the lunchroom for a longer length of time.  The meal itself is no different than what other kids will get, you’ll just need to take it with you.

Coding Club:  As you know we are offing a Coding Class after school once a week starting on the 24^th.  It will be at the end of each track for one hour.  The club will run for 8 weeks and then we will start again with the second block for those who didn’t get into the first block, we can only have 22 1^st – 6th-grade students in the club each track and for each block.  The cost is $20.00 for the block and will need to be paid prior to the club starting.  Here is the instructions on how to pay online. Go to my school fees link here      Create a login      Type Silver Lake Elementary as your school     Follow the instructions inside MySchoolFees.com

Room Parent Meetings:   There are Room Parent Meetings coming up for those of you who are volunteering to help out in your student’s classroom this year.  The information is below on the days, grades and time.

Parent-Teacher Conference:  Just to get this on your calendars, we will be doing our Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences on the 7^th and 8^th of October.  We will be doing a hybrid version of face to face or an online meeting if parents would prefer not to come in to meet face to face with their kiddos teachers.  More information will come on this.  We will also have the Book Fair open during that week.

Fall Break:  Fall Break is the 15^th and 16^th of October with a Teacher Professional Development Day on the 19^th.
