Weekly Memo January 11, 2021

Parents of Silver Lake Elementary Students,

Today I was thinking about how fortunate I feel to have the opportunity to work with your amazing students.  They are truly wonderful and so fun to be around each and every day.  Our faculty and staff are top-notch and are super dedicated to your kids.  What a great learning community we have at Silver Lake Elementary.  Thank you for all your help and support in making it so.

ASL Last Day:  The last day for our ASL class, for the first block, is this Tuesday the 12^th.  We will start the second block on February 2^nd  for beginners and those who have taken it during the first block (intermediate students).  The Cost is $20.00 for all beginners and intermediate students.

Chinese Club:  The Chinese Club will end, for the first block, on the 29^th but will start up again on February 5^th for beginners and intermediate students.  The Cost is $20.00 for all beginners and intermediate students.

Coding and Chime Choir:  Just a reminder that Coding has ended for the first block but will start for the second block on Thursday, February 4^th.  Chime Choir is ongoing but students participating will need to pay for the second block of $20.00 before the week of February 1^st.

Afterschool Programs (2^nd Block) Sign-Ups: You can sign your kiddos up for the second block of all after school programs (ASL, Chinese Club, Chime Choir and Coding) now through myschoolfees.com  The cost for all second block classes (8 weeks long) is $20.00 and should be paid before the first class.  You can also pay in person in the school’s office.

Coyote Store:  The Coyote Store will be open at the end of each track on Friday the 15^th and 29^th of this month.

Martin Luther King Day:  Do not forget that there is no school on Monday the 18^th.

Preschool Open Enrollment:  The District’s Preschool program has open enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year on the 20^th.  Here is a flyer with all the information you will need.  2021-22 Preschool flier.pfd.jpg   Pass this along to any friends or neighbors who will have a preschooler next year.

Parent-Teacher Conferences: Just to get the PTC on your schedule, it will be on February 3^rd and 4^th.

Birthday on Marquee:  Parents can pay to have their student’s name pop-up on our outside digital marquee on their birthday.  If you want your student’s name on the Marquee, please give us a couple of days to get it up, especially if it is over the weekend. We try hard to check every day and we do not want to miss anyone’s birthday if payment is made within a day or two of the actual birthday.  The cost is $5.00 to be paid online.  The instructions are below.
